DTC C0695 Or C0696: Position Sensor OVERCURRENT
- Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK . After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch on. Backprobe suspension control module harness connector and measure voltage from low voltage reference circuit to LR position sensor circuit. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is less than 6 volts, go to step 4 . If voltage is more than 6 volts, go to next step.
- If voltage is more than 9 volts, go to step 6 . If measured voltage is less than 9 volts, go to step 7 .
- Check each position sensor low voltage reference circuit for a short to ground. If a short to ground was found and repaired, go to step 8 . If a short to ground was not found, go to next step.
- Check for a short between the low voltage reference circuit and ground circuit for each position sensor. If a short was found and repaired, go to step 8 . If a short was not found, go to step 7 .
- Check each position sensor low voltage reference circuit for a short to voltage. If a short to voltage was found and repaired, go to step 8 . If a short to voltage was not found, go to next step
- Replace suspension control module. See ESC/CVRSS CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Calibrate NEW control module. See CALIBRATING ESC/CVRSS CONTROL MODULE under ADJUSTMENTS. If replacement is complete, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle under normal driving conditions. If DTC resets, go to step 2 . If DTC does not reset, system is okay.
