DTC C0635 Orc0640: Normal Force Circuit Malfunction (2000 Models)
- Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK . After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch off. Disconnect control module harness connector. Turn ignition switch on. Using a DVOM, measure voltage between ground and normal force circuit (White or Gray wire). See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to step 6 . If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to next step.
- Check normal force circuit for high resistance, a short to ground, or an open. If condition was found and repaired, go to step 8 . If condition was not found, go to next step.
- Check Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) harness connector for a poor connection. If a poor connection was found and repaired, go to step 8 . If a poor connection was not found, go to next step.
- Replace EBCM. See appropriate ANTI-LOCK article. If replacement is complete, go to step 8 .
- Check suspension control module harness connector for a poor connection. If a poor connection was found and repaired, go to step 8 . If a poor connection was not found, go to next step.
- Replace suspension control module. See ESC/CVRSS CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Calibrate NEW control module. See CALIBRATING ESC/CVRSS CONTROL MODULE under ADJUSTMENTS. If replacement is complete, go to next step.
- Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle under normal driving conditions. If DTC resets, go to step 2 . If DTC does not reset, system is okay.
