DTC C0550: Control Module Malfunction

  1. Perform diagnostic system check. See DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSIS & TESTING. After performing diagnostic system check, go to next step.
  2. Install scan tool and check for DTCs. If DTC C0550 is displayed as current (not a history fault), go to step  5 . If DTC C0550 is not displayed as current, go to next step.
  3. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle under normal driving conditions. If DTC C0550 resets, go to step  5 . If DTC C0550 does not reset, go to next step.
  4. If vehicle has been previously serviced for DTC C0550, go to next step. If vehicle has not been previously serviced for DTC C0550, go to step  6 .
  5. Replace suspension control module. See ESC/CVRSS CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Calibrate NEW control module. See CALIBRATING ESC/CVRSS CONTROL MODULE  under ADJUSTMENTS. If replacement is complete, go to next step.
  6. Using scan tool, clear DTCs. Operate vehicle under normal driving conditions. If DTC resets, go to step  2 . If DTC does not reset, system is okay.
