Code C1768: Position Sensor Supply Fault
- Perform CVRSS system check. See CVRSS SYSTEM CHECK . After performing CVRSS system check, go to next step.
- Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using DVOM, backprobe measuring voltage at left rear position sensor 8-volt reference circuit (Purple/White on front; Red/Black on rear) of CVRSS control module connector C2. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If voltage is less than 6 volts, go to step 4 . If voltage is more than 6 volts, go to next step.
- If voltage is more than 9 volts, go to step 12 . If voltage is less than 9 volts, go to step 20 .
- Turn ignition off. Disconnect 24-pin CVRSS control module connector C2. Check continuity between left rear position sensor 8-volt reference circuit (Purple/White on front; Red/Black on rear) of CVRSS control module harness connector C2 and ground. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check continuity between right rear position sensor 8-volt reference circuit (Purple/White on front; Red/Black on rear) of CVRSS control module harness connector C2 and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check continuity between left front position sensor 8-volt reference circuit (Purple/White on front; Red/Black on rear) of CVRSS control module harness connector C2 and ground. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check continuity between right front position sensor 8-volt reference circuit (Purple/White on front; Red/Black on rear) of CVRSS control module harness connector C2 and ground. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
- Check continuity between left rear position sensor 8-volt reference circuit (Purple/White on front; Red/Black on rear) and left rear position sensor ground circuit (Light Blue/Black on front; Light Green/Black on rear) of CVRSS control module harness connector C2. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, go to next step.
