Coolant Temperature Gauge Inaccurate Or Inoperative

Turn ignition switch to ON position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Display coolant temperature on scan tool. If scan tool displayed coolant temperature is same as coolant temperature gauge, see appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & ELECTRIC COOLING FANS article in ENGINE COOLING. If scan tool displayed coolant temperature is not same as coolant temperature gauge, replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
