Fuel Gauge Inoperative/Inaccurate: Description

IPC monitors fuel level data sent by Platform Zone Module (PZM) through class 2 serial data line. IPC will display this information on an analog gauge (analog cluster) or a message display (digital cluster).

NOTE: When vehicle is operated in diagnostic mode (either vehicle diagnostic mode or using scan tool), fuel signal is not filtered by PZM. IPC may show real time readings, and may be mistaken as an erratic fuel level display.
