DTC B2781: PASS-Key(R) II WRONG RESISTOR VALUE AFTER GOOD: Description

When ignition key is inserted in ignition, resistance of key pellet is measured. Resistance is compared with resistance value stored in IPC memory. DTC B2781 will set when IPC determines that one of 15 valid key pellets is detected and is good, IPC class 2 vehicle security password report message was sent and acknowledged, and then IPC determines that the one of 15 valid key pellets it detected does not match one stored in IPC memory.

When DTC B2781 is set, IPC will display THEFT SYSTEM PROBLEM, CAR MAY NOT RESTART message on driver's message.
