DTC B1552: Loss Of Keep Alive Memory (KAM): Testing

1. If B1552 sets without an apparent battery disconnect, check for PZM DTCs B1972 or B1973. If PZM DTC B1972 or B1973 do not exist, go to next step. If PZM DTC B1972 or B1973 exist, go to appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
2. Check for poor terminal contact at IPC Blue 24-pin connector C1, terminals A1 (Orange wire), B1 (Orange wire), A12 (Black/White wire) and B12 (Black/White wire). See Fig 1 . Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Clear codes and check system operation.
