Low Fluid Level Indicator Inoperative

  1. Perform SYSTEM CHECK  . Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Disconnect windshield washer fluid level switch. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . If low fluid level indicator light comes on, go to step  4 . If low fluid level indicator light does not come on, go to next step.
  3. Check for short to ground in Brown/Yellow wire between washer fluid level switch and gauge cluster. If circuit is okay, replace gauge cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAUGES  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
  4. Replace washer fluid level switch. See WASHER FLUID LEVEL SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
