Low Coolant Indicator Inoperative

  1. Perform SYSTEM CHECK  . Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Disconnect cooling fluid maximum capacity sensor connector. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . If indicator light comes on, go to next step. If indicator light does not come on, go to step  4 .
  3. Replace cooling fluid maximum capacity sensor. Go to SYSTEM CHECK  .
  4. Check for short to ground in Brown/Blue wire between cooling fluid maximum capacity sensor and gauge cluster. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace and program the instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to SYSTEM CHECK  .
