Coolant Temperature Gauge Inaccurate Or Inoperative

Turn ignition switch to ON position. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  table. Display coolant temperature on scan tool. If scan tool displayed coolant temperature is same as coolant temperature gauge, gauge is working correctly. Diagnose cooling system problem. If scan tool displayed coolant temperature is not same as coolant temperature gauge, replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
