Battery Charge Indicator Always On

Start engine. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). See COMPONENT LOCATIONS  . Select PCM DATA 2 on scan tool display. If scan tool indicates battery charge indicator is ON, see procedures in GENERATORS & REGULATORS article in STARTING & CHARGING SYSTEMS. If scan tool does not indicate battery charge indicator is ON, replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system operation.
