Diagnostic Procedures

  1. Perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Clear any DTCs. See CLEARING DTCS  . Turn ignition switch to OFF position, and then to RUN position. If DTC B1556 is still present, go to next step. If DTC B1552 is not present, system is okay.
  3. Replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After replacement, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Reconnect or install all components and connectors. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Clear any DTCs. Perform INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
