Suspension Support: Removal
- Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assemblies.
- Suspend brake calipers from frame without disconnecting brake lines. See DISC - "E" & "K" BODIES article in BRAKES. Remove other rear suspension components, as required.
- Remove the intermediate parking brake cable from the equalizer, and move the intermediate cable clear of the suspension support. Remove the rear brake crossover pipe and the left rear brake hose from the bracket.
- Disconnect the rear chassis wiring harness from the main body wiring harness. Support the rear suspension support with suitable jackstands.
- Remove the suspension support forward arm bolts, upper mounting bolts and lower insulators. See Figure and Figure .
- Lower the jackstands.
CAUTION:
While lowering the support, carefully watch the position of the brake calipers, brake hoses and crossover pipes in order to prevent damage during the removal procedure.
