Removal & Installation

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Remove the brake drum.
  2. Remove the brake shoes and brake cable. Remove the brakeline and wheel sensor.
  3. Support the lower control arm with a suitable jack stand. Remove the lower ball joint nut and separate from the knuckle.
  4. Remove the upper knuckle nut and bolt. See Fig 1. Remove the four bolts from the bearing retainer. See Fig 2.

  5. To install, reverse removal procedures. Tighten fasteners to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
