DTC B2510: Steering Wheel Controls HVAC Key Stuck: Testing
- Check keys for binding, sticking, or broken steering wheel touch controls. If steering wheel touch control keys are okay, clear DTC. Check operation of steering wheel controls. If DTC resets, replace steering wheel touch control keys.
- Each steering wheel control key has a unique counts value. Connect scan tool. Press each steering wheel control switch. See STEERING WHEEL TOUCH CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS table. If count value is not as specified, repair or replace as necessary.
- Each steering wheel control key has a unique resistance. These resistance values can be measured by disconnecting Black 48-pin connector C202 (located under instrument panel near base of steering column). Using DVOM, check resistance between connector C202 terminals A1 (Dark Blue wire) and A4 (Orange wire) while operating steering wheel touch controls. See STEERING WHEEL TOUCH CONTROL SPECIFICATIONS table. See Fig 1. If resistance is not as specified, repair or replace as necessary.
