DTC B1911: Generator "L" Terminal Malfunction: Description

DTC B1911 indicates a circuit malfunction is preventing generator from charging. DTC B1911 will set when IPC determines that circuit No. 225 (Red wire) is grounded by generator with ignition switch in RUN position and engine speed is greater than 600 RPM. This test is only performed when ignition switch is in RUN position, IPC measures engine speed greater than 600 RPM and vehicle diagnostics is not active. When DTC B1911 is set, IPC will display BATTERY NOT CHARGING message and battery indicator will illuminate.
