DTC B1552: Loss Of Keep Alive Memory (KAM): Testing

  1. If B1552 sets without an apparent battery disconnect, check for PZM DTCs B1972 or B1973. If PZM DTC B1972 or B1973 do not exist, go to next step. If PZM DTC B1972 or B1973 exist, go to procedures in TESTS W/CODES article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE section.
  2. Check for poor terminal contact at IPC Blue 24-pin connector C1, terminals A1 (Orange wire), B1 (Orange wire), A12 (Black/White wire) and B12 (Black/White wire). See Fig 1. Repair as necessary. Clear codes and check system operation.
