Fuel Gauge Inoperative/Inaccurate: Description
IPC monitors fuel level data sent by Platform Zone Module (PZM) through class 2 serial data line. IPC then interprets that information, and sends signal to analog or digital gauge.
NOTE:
When vehicle is operated in diagnostic mode (either vehicle diagnostic mode or using scan tool), fuel signal is not filtered by PZM. IPC may show real time readings, and may be mistaken as an erratic fuel level display.
