Driver Door Ajar Message Inoperative

  1. Check operation of interior lights. If interior lights operate properly, go to next step. If interior lights do not operate properly, repair open in Black/White or Black wire between IPC Blue 24-pin connector C1 and ground.
  2. Connect scan tool. Close and open driver's door. Using scan tool, read status for left front door jamb switch. If scan tool displays ON when driver's door is open, go to next step. If scan tool does not display ON when driver's door is open, go to step 4).
  3. Repair open in Gray/Black wire between driver's door jamb switch and Platform Zone Module (PZM) Brown 24-pin connector C1, terminal B6. Recheck system operation.
  4. Replace driver's door jamb switch. Recheck system operation.
