Door Ajar Message Always On

NOTE: For driver's door, see DRIVER DOOR AJAR MESSAGE ALWAYS ON .
  1. Connect scan tool. Close and open each passenger door. Using scan tool, read status for passenger door jamb switch. If scan tool displays OFF when all passenger doors are closed, go to step 9). If scan tool does not display OFF when all passenger doors are closed, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect right front door jamb switch. If DOOR AJAR message is still displayed, go to next step. If DOOR AJAR message is not displayed, go to step 5).
  3. Disconnect left rear door jamb switch. If DOOR AJAR message is still displayed, go to next step. If DOOR AJAR message is not displayed, go to step 6).
  4. Disconnect right rear door jamb switch. If DOOR AJAR message is still displayed, go to step 8). If DOOR AJAR message is not displayed, go to step 7).
  5. Replace right front door jamb switch. Recheck system operation.
  6. Replace left rear door jamb switch. Recheck system operation.
  7. Replace right rear door jamb switch. Recheck system operation.
  8. Repair short in Black wire between Platform Zone Module (PZM) Brown 24-pin connector C1, terminal A5 and door jamb switches. Recheck system operation.
  9. Replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform IPC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under DIAGNOSTIC TESTING.
