Check Washer Fluid Message Inoperative
- Disconnect windshield washer fluid level switch connector. Connect a fused jumper wire between washer fluid level switch harness connector terminals "A" (Black/White wire) and "B" (Blue/White wire). Turn ignition switch to RUN position. If CHECK WASHER FLUID message is displayed on driver's message center, go to step 6). If CHECK WASHER FLUID message is not displayed on driver's message center, go to next step.
- Disconnect IPC Gray 24-pin connector C2. Connect a test light between IPC harness connector C2, terminal B12 (Blue/White wire) and battery voltage. If test light illuminates, go to step 7). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Connect a fused jumper wire between washer fluid level switch harness connector terminal "B" (Blue/White wire) and ground. If test light illuminates, go to step 5). If test light does not illuminate, go to next step.
- Repair open in Blue/White wire between washer fluid level switch and IPC connector C2. Recheck system operation.
- Repair open in Black/White wire between washer fluid level switch and ground. Recheck system operation.
- Replace washer fluid level switch. Recheck system operation.
- Replace IPC. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER (IPC) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform IPC DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under DIAGNOSTIC TESTING.
