Diagnostic Procedure
- Check keys for binding, sticking, or broken steering wheel touch controls. If steering wheel touch control keys are okay, clear DTC. Check operation of steering wheel controls. If DTC resets, replace steering wheel touch control keys.
- Each steering wheel control switch has a unique resistance. These resistance values can be measured by disconnecting connector C202, located under instrument panel near base of steering column. Using a DVOM, measure resistance between terminals A1 (Dark Blue wire) and A4 (Orange wire) of connector C202, while operating steering wheel touch controls. See Fig 1
.
- Check count display for each key to be within range. If readings are not as specified, replace steering wheel touch controls. See STEERING WHEEL TOUCH CONTROL RESISTANCE
