DTCS B2200, B2201, B2212, B2213, B2214, B2215, B2216, B2217: Any Switch In Master Switch Stuck In Up/Down Position: Description

Left Front Power Window Switch (LFPWS) assembly contains an internal processor containing software program to sample individual window switches and report all switch activity over Simple Bus Interface (SBI) to Left Front Door Module (LFDM). Diagnostics are run once every 300 milliseconds. Problems involving LFDM or SBI may set other DTC(s) and will affect operation of power door locks and outside rear view mirrors.

DTCs B2200, B2201, B2212, B2213, B2214, B2215, B2216, or B2217 are set when any driver door power window switch is detected as continuously closed, in either UP or DOWN position for longer than 15 continuous seconds. DTCs B1982 (battery voltage high) and B1983 (battery voltage low) must not be current or diagnostic will not run. Left front switch command will be ignored by LFDM until it again changes state or ignition cycles from OFF to RUN position.

Under all fault conditions, DTCs B2200, B2201, B2212, B2213, B2214, B2215, B2216 or B2217 will clear automatically when switch failure is not detected for 600 milliseconds. History DTC will clear after 50 consecutive ignition cycles if condition for malfunction is no longer present. History DTCs can also be cleared using scan tool or On-Board System Diagnostic (OBSD) feature.
