DTC U1040: Description

Every 5 seconds while ignition switch is in RUN position, control modules that communicate on class 2 data bus transmit a performance condition signal to indicate system is operating properly. Signal is then transmitted to IPC. DTC U1040 will set when IPC does not receive signal from Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module (EBTCM) after 3 consecutive monitoring cycles. DTC U1040 will clear when EBTCM transmits signal to IPC.
