Code C1784: ICCS2 DATALINK Right Output Short Circuit To Battery

  1. Perform CVRSS system check. See CVRSS SYSTEM CHECK  . After performing CVRSS system check, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect 32-pin CVRSS control module connector C3. Disconnect Electronic Brake Traction Control Module (EBTCM) connector C2. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ICCS2 data link output right circuit (Gray wire) of CVRSS control module harness connector C3 and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is less than 10 volts, go to step 4).
  3. Repair short to voltage in ICCS2 data link output right circuit (Gray wire). After repairs, perform CVRSS SYSTEM CHECK  .
  4. Reconnect CVRSS control module connector C3. Clear CVRSS codes. Wait 90 seconds. Display CVRSS codes. If Code C1784 is set, go to next step. If Code C1784 is not set, go to step 6).
  5. Turn ignition off. Replace CVRSS control module. Reinstall/reconnect all components/connectors. Install scan tool. Turn ignition on, with engine off. Calibrate NEW CVRSS control module. See CALIBRATING CVRSS CONTROL MODULE  under ADJUSTMENTS. Perform CVRSS SYSTEM CHECK  .
  6. Turn ignition off. Replace EBTCM. After repairs, perform CVRSS SYSTEM CHECK  .
