RSS System Check

  1. Turn ignition on. Note all messages on instrument panel cluster. Enter diagnostics. See USING SELF-DIAGNOSTICS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS. If diagnostics can be entered, go to next step. If diagnostics cannot be entered, problem exists in instrument panel cluster. See INSTRUMENT PANEL article in ACCESSORIES/SAFETY EQUIPMENT section.
  2. Record codes (if present). If no codes are present, go to next step. If codes are present, go to appropriate code for diagnosis.
  3. If SERVICE RIDE CONTROL message is displayed, go to NO RSS DATA, LOSS OF SERIAL COMMUNICATION  . If SERVICE RIDE CONTROL message is not displayed, problem is no longer present. Go to NOTES ON INTERMITTENTS  under SELF-DIAGNOSTICS.
