Action Taken

RSS module stops driving solenoid within the first one-millisecond sample in which a fault is sensed during a commanded on period or during a commanded PWM high state. RSS module then waits 5 seconds, retries driving solenoid and re-senses for feedback.

If fault is not present, RSS module resumes normal operation. If fault is still present, RSS module repeats this "stop-wait-retry/re-sense" sequence. It also increases a software counter for each fault observed or decreases it for each fault not observed.

If counter reaches 3 counts at any time, a code sets, SERVICE RIDE CONTROL message is displayed and RSS module stops driving solenoid for remainder of ignition cycle.
