SSS System Check

  1. Enter diagnostics. Refer to RETRIEVING CODES under the SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM  heading. Check and record codes. If no codes are present, electrical part of SSS system is okay. Problem may be mechanical. If codes are present, clear codes. See CLEARING CODES under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
  2. Turn ignition off and then on. Wait at least 10 seconds for self-test to finish. Check and record codes again. If SERVICE RIDE CONTROL message is displayed on driver information center, go to step 4).
  3. If SERVICE RIDE CONTROL message is not displayed on driver information center, enter diagnostics and recheck for codes. If codes are present, go to appropriate trouble code chart under TROUBLE CODE CHARTS . If codes are not present now but were previously present, go to NOTES ON INTERMITTENTS in appropriate trouble code chart.
  4. Enter diagnostics and recheck for displayed codes. If codes are present, go to the appropriate trouble code chart. Refer to the TROUBLE CODE CHARTS . If codes are not present, proceed to the SERVICE RIDE CONTROL MESSAGE DISPLAYED, NO CODES SET  chart under TROUBLE CODE CHARTS.
