Speed-Sensitive Steering (SSS)
SSS system increases steering effort as vehicle speed increases. This improves vehicle handling. To increase steering effort, the system decreases power steering assist pressure. Based on vehicle speed (from PCM input), RSS module sends a variable command signal to steering solenoid to cycle it on and off. This regulates power steering assist pressure. See VEHICLE SPEED-TO-DUTY CYCLE RELATIONSHIP table.
