Additional Notes On Intermittents
The following conditions may cause Code S044 to set intermittently:
- PCM disconnected and ignition is turned on
- Engine is cranked or started in Drive
- PROM in PCM is not properly seated (could cause ride problem).

After repairs, clear codes and verify system operation.
