Code 35 - Speed-Sensitive Steering Solenoid Error: Notes

Based on vehicle speed, SSS control module regulates amount of steering assist by cycling the Steering Assist Solenoid Valve (SASV) on and off at the correct duty cycle. SSS control module constantly monitors duty cycle. If SSS control module does not detect expected duty cycle, it sets code, turns on the SERVICE RIDE CONTROL message on the driver information center and stops cycling the SASV. Unexpected duty cycle can be caused by a shorted or open circuit, faulty SSS control module or faulty SASV. System will recover if normal activity is detected after a 30-second delay.
