Code 26 - Right Rear Actuator Position Error: Notes
SSS control module monitors actuator position voltage for correct feedback sequence during an actuator movement. A fault is detected if:
- Actuator position feedback sequence is incorrect
- More than 6 seconds is required to complete an actuator movement
- Actuator position feedback voltage is incorrect for 2 consecutive ignition cycles.
When a fault is detected, SSS control module records error (sets code), turns on the SERVICE RIDE CONTROL message on the driver information center and disables faulted actuator. SSS control module then performs a one-second test of system every 3 minutes until all conditions that set the code are corrected. If actuator passes one of these tests, SSS control module will again command faulted actuator to operate.
A mismatch of commanded feedback signal and actual feedback signal which occurs after 6 seconds will not be detected as an error. Actuators will not be repositioned until SSS control module commands a new actuator position as a result of new inputs or until a 1-second retest occurs.
