Note On Intermittents

If code sets intermittently, problem may be caused by extremely cold ambient temperatures (-40°F or less) which affect viscosity of strut fluid. Increased viscosity index may prevent actuator from moving within 6 seconds, setting a false code.

Codes may also set intermittently because of poor electrical connections, especially at strut connector. Before replacing components, check for corrosion, moisture and dirt at connector terminals, especially at actuator connector and cavity. To maintain sealing integrity, disconnect actuator connectors only when necessary. Before connecting, ensure actuator connector cavity is clean and dry, and alignment groove in connector is aligned with slot in connector cavity.

NOTE: If directed by chart to "ENTER OUTPUT CYCLING", go to CONTINUOUS STRUT ACTUATOR CYCLING under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM .
