Code S070, Left Front Accelerometer Fault: Description
The RSS module monitors the accelerometer data for a sensor out-of-range condition. If the signal is under voltage (0.5 volt) or over voltage (4.5 volts) for more than 1/2 second at vehicle speeds greater than the full firm speed setting, the error is set.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to numbers on diagnostic chart.
- To diagnose this condition, clear codes. Enter output cycling. Manipulate affected wiring. Tap the sensor. Recheck for codes. See NOTES ON INTERMITTENTS under TESTING & DIAGNOSIS.
- The code may set because Code S074 is set. If Code S074 is set, first diagnose and repair fault causing Code S074.
CAUTION:
DO NOT
backprobe connector terminals at position sensors or dampers.
NOTE:
After repairs, clear codes and verify system operation.
