Switch Test

  1. Remove engine metal temperature switch connector. Turn ignition switch to RUN position, and observe STOP ENGINE TEMPERATURE warning indicator light.
  2. If warning indicator light is not illuminated, replace engine metal temperature switch. If warning indicator light is illuminated, check Light Green wire and flexible circuit for a short to ground.
  3. If wiring is okay, check for a shorted chime module diode. Chime module is located behind right side of instrument panel, above glove box. If chime module diode is okay, replace instrument cluster.
