Park Lights

  1. Enter diagnostics and select BCM input BI02. See COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS section for proper procedure. With park light switch off, BCM display should read "LO". With park light switch on, BCM display should read "HI". If BCM displays are correct, go to INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTS CONTROL TEST below.
  2. If BCM displays in step 1) are incorrect, remove left switch assembly. Using a test light, check for power at terminal BC5 of left switch assembly. If test light comes on, go to step 3). If test light does not come on, check fuse No. 15 and Orange feed wire for open. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS  section.
  3. Using a fused jumper wire, jumper between terminals BC5 and B11. Observe BCM display. If display reads "LO", go to step 4). If display reads "HI", replace left switch assembly.
  4. Reconnect left switch assembly. Using a test light, backprobe BCM terminal 2B7. Turn on park light switch. If test light comes on, check BCM terminal 2B7 for good contact. If terminal contact is good, replace BCM. If test light does not come on, check Gray/Black wire from BCM to left switch assembly for open or short.
