Instrument Panel Lights Control Test

  1. Turn on park lights. Enter diagnostics and select BCM override BS03. See COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS section for proper procedure. Vary override value from 0-99. Instrument panel lights should brighten as override value is increased.
  2. If instrument panel lights do not vary, disconnect instrument panel electrical connector. Using a voltmeter, check voltage between terminal LB11 and ground. Voltage reading should be approximately 5 volts with override value at 99, and zero volt with override value at zero.
  3. If voltage reading are not proper, check Gray/White wire and Gray/White "flex circuit" wire for open. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS  section.
