Rear Doors Door Ajar Test (Seville Only)

  1. Turn on ignition. Enter diagnostics and select BCM input BI04. See COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS section for proper procedure. Ensure all doors are closed.
  2. Open rear door(s) and observe BCM display. BCM display should read "LO". Close rear door(s). BCM display should read "HI". If BCM displays are correct, replace CCDIC.
  3. If BCM displays are incorrect, disconnect electrical connector at door switch. Using a fused jumper wire, jumper across terminals A and B. If BCM display reads "LO", replace door switch. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS  section.
  4. If BCM display was "HI" in step 3), connect fused jumper between terminal A and ground. If BCM display reads "LO", check Black (ground) door switch wire for open.
  5. If BCM display was "LO" in step 4), backprobe BCM terminal 3C14 with a fused jumper wire to ground. If BCM display reads "LO", check Black/Orange wire from BCM to door switch for open. If BCM display reads "HI", check BCM terminals for good contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace BCM.
