"TRUNK OPEN" Input Test
- Turn on ignition. Enter diagnostics and select BCM input BI07. See COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS section for proper procedure.
- Open trunk. BCM display should read "LO". Close trunk lid and BCM display should read "HI". If BCM displays are correct, and "TRUNK OPEN" message does not come on, replace CCDIC.
- If BCM display reading was incorrect in step 2), open trunk and disconnect electrical connector at trunk lid pull-down unit. Using a fused jumper wire, jumper between Dark Green and Black wire harness connector. If BCM display reads "LO", repair or replace trunk pull-down unit. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS section.
- If BCM display was "HI" in step 3), connect fused jumper wire from Dark Green wire to ground. If BCM display reads "LO", repair open in Black (ground) wire.
- If BCM display was "HI" in step 4), backprobe BCM terminal 2B1 using a fused jumper wire to ground. If BCM display reads "LO", check Dark Green and Dark Green/Orange wires for open. If BCM display reads "HI", check BCM terminals for good contact. If terminal contact is okay, replace BCM.
