"TEMP/TIME" Switch Test

  1. Turn on ignition. Enter diagnostics and select BCM input BI30. See COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS section for proper procedure.
  2. Press "TEMP/TIME" button. BCM display should read "LO". With "TEMP/TIME" button not pressed, BCM display should read "HI". If BCM displays are correct and "TEMP/TIME" display does not work, replace CCDIC.
  3. If BCM displays are not correct in step 2), remove CCDIC module. See CLIMATE CONTROL & DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER (CCDIC)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. With electrical connector connected, jumper terminals A7 and B2. Refer to appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS  section.
  4. If BCM display reads "LO" in step 3), replace CCDIC. If BCM display reads "HI", backprobe BCM terminal 3C9 with a fused jumper wire to ground. If display reads "LO", check Gray/Red wire for open.
  5. If BCM display was "HI" in step 4), check BCM terminal 3C9 for good contact. If contact is good, replace BCM.
