"LOW WASHER FLUID" Level Test

  1. Turn on ignition. Enter diagnostics and select BCM input BI09. See COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS section for proper procedure.
  2. Ensure washer fluid low level switch is submerged in fluid. BCM display should read "HI". Lift switch out of fluid. BCM display should read "LO". If BCM displays are correct and "LOW WASHER FLUID" message does not come on, replace CCDIC.
  3. If BCM display is incorrect in step 2), disconnector electrical connector at low washer fluid switch. Using a fused jumper wire, jumper between terminals A and B of switch harness. If BCM display reads "LO", replace low washer fluid switch.
  4. Connect fused jumper wire between terminal B and ground. If BCM display reads "LO", check Black/White wire for open. If BCM display reads "HI", backprobe BCM terminal 2A4 with a fused jumper wire to ground.
  5. If BCM display was "LO" in step 4), check Black wire for open. If BCM display was "HI", check BCM terminal 2A4 for good contact. If contact is good, replace BCM.
