Crossmember Leading Arm Bushing Replacement

  1. To remove, install Spacer (J-21474-25 ) between leading arm flanges. Coat threads of Bolt and Bearing (J-21474-19 ) with grease. Install Remover (J-21474-23 ), Receiver (J-21474-5 ), Nut (J-21474-18 ), and Bolt and Bearing (J-21474-19 ) in control arm. See Fig 1 . Tighten nut to remove bushing from leading arm.
  2. To install, position new bushing in outside of leading arm. Position bushing with indentations positioned at the 12 and 6 o'clock position. See Fig 1 .
  3. Install Spacer (J-21474-25 ) between leading arm flanges. Position Installer (J-35739-3 ), Receiver (J-21474-5 ), Nut (J-21474-18 ), and Bolt and Bearing (J-21474-19 ) on leading arm. See Fig 1 .
  4. Tighten nut to install bushing into leading arm. Tighten nut until bushing flange seats against leading arm.
