Installation ("E" & "K" Bodies)
- Knuckles are not interchangeable. Knuckles are marked with "L" for left side and "R" for right side on rear of knuckle. See Fig 1 . Install knuckle on control arm.
- Install knuckle pivot bolt. DO NOT tighten at this time. Install strut in knuckle. Ensure strut is fully seated in knuckle, with strut tang bottomed in knuckle slot. Install knuckle pinch bolt. Tighten to specification.
- Rotate strut and knuckle assembly inward. Install lower insulator. Position strut rod in suspension crossmember. Reverse removal procedures for remaining components. Tighten bolts to specification.
