Master Cylinder: Reassembly
- Lubricate secondary piston seals with clean brake fluid and install on piston. Install spring retainer on secondary piston. Install lubricated spring and secondary piston assembly into cylinder bore. Install lubricated primary piston assembly into cylinder bore and install retainer while depressing piston.
- Lubricate reservoir O-rings with clean brake fluid and install in master cylinder body. Ensure O-rings are properly seated. Lubricate reservoir outlets and install reservoir to master cylinder by pushing straight down by hand. See Fig 1
. Ensure reservoir retaining holes are properly aligned. Using care not to damage reservoir or master cylinder body, drive in spring pins to retain reservoir.
