Digital Instrument Cluster (DEVILLE & FLEETWOOD): Speedometer
- Turn ignition on and check flex circuit continuity at Red ECM connector pin 2 to 4. If circuit is open, replace flex circuit. If continuity exists, turn ignition on and spin drive wheels. Probe Dark Blue/White wire at buffer amplifier. If 0 volts are present, go to step 3).
- If 6 volts are present, check continuity of flex circuit at Red ECM connector pin 3. If circuit is open, replace flex circuit. If continuity exists, replace cluster.
- Disconnect connector at buffer amplifier and measure voltage at Dark Blue/White wire. Buffer amplifier is located behind glove box. If reading is 12.6 volts, replace buffer amplifier. If voltage is not 12.6 volts, check continuity of Dark Blue/White wire from buffer amplifier to instrument cluster.
- If circuit is open, repair Dark Blue/White wire. If continuity is correct, check continuity of flex circuit at pin 3. If circuit is open, replace flex circuit. If continuity exists, replace cluster.
