Removal & Installation (Brougham)
- Disconnect battery negative cable. Loosen set screw in left A/C outlet door knob and remove knob. Remove A/C grille using Puller (J-24612-01). Remove 6 screws retaining bezel to panel (one screw is inside A/C grill). Remove 2 upper and 2 lower screws in steering column cover. Disconnect column seal, and remove trim plate.
- Remove 3 headlight switch screws. On vehicles with cruise control, remove 2 screws securing cruise control switch to instrument panel. Slide cruise control switch forward to remove light switch. Disconnect 2-piece connector from headlight switch.
- Disconnect Guidematic and Twilight Sentinel from under instrument panel, if equipped. Pull out headlight switch knob fully, depress knob release button on back of switch, and remove knob. Remove trim bezel, nut and switch from instrument panel. To install, reverse removal procedure.
