Removal & Installation: Knuckle: Installation

  1. Position knuckle in control arm and install knuckle pivot bolt. DO NOT tighten pivot bolt at this time. Install strut in knuckle. Ensure strut is fully seated in knuckle, with tang on strut bottomed in knuckle slot. Install knuckle pinch bolt.
  2. Tighten knuckle pinch bolt to 40 ft. lbs. (54 N.m). Rotate strut and knuckle assembly inward. Install lower insulator and position strut rod in suspension crossmember assembly. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Tighten mounting bolts to specification.
