Removal ("E" & "K" Bodies)

  1. Raise and support vehicle. Remove wheel and tire assembly. Remove ELC height sensor link (left side only). Remove stabilizer bar mounting bolt at strut, if equipped. Reinstall 2 lug nuts to retain rotor on hub assembly. Remove and support caliper assembly. Loosen, but do not remove, knuckle pivot bolt.
  2. Remove strut rod cap, mounting nut, retainer and upper insulator. Compress strut by hand and remove lower insulator. Support knuckle and remove knuckle pivot bolt. Remove knuckle, strut, hub and bearing assembly, and rotor from vehicle as an assembly. Remove 2 inner control arm bolts and remove control arm.
