Starter Motor: Service and Repair

V6-173 ENGINES
1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove nuts and washers securing electrical connectors to starter solenoid, then disconnect connectors noting position for installation.
3. Remove starter mounting bolts, then the starter motor, noting installation position of starter shims if equipped.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
